Advanced Search

By using this new feature, we can search medications by NDC and get similar drugs for different brands, strength and dosage form. This will help us when we need to replace an NDC with a similar one.

To use this new feature, click on Advanced Search tab.

Enter the NDC and click search.

Open

The results will include the following flavors:

• Alternate NDCs: shows NDCs with the same GPI as the drug selected in the search but different brand
  
  

• Same Dosage Form - Different Strength: shows NDCs with the same 12 first digits of the GPI as the drug selected in the search.
  
  

• Similar Dosage Forms: shows NDCs with the same 10 first digits of the GPI as the drug selected in the search, that belong to the same dosage form family.
  
  

• Different Dosage Forms: shows NDCs with the same 10 first digits of the GPI as the drug selected in the search, but that do not belong to the same dosage form family.
  
  

• Alternatives in the same drug class: shows NDCs of equivalent drugs.
