What is the Average Insurance Remit (AIR) data?
When you check NDC coverage, you may get additional information called AIR (Average Insurance Remit). This refers to the average remit amount or insurance pay amount, for this particular NDC, for this particular insurance plan (BIN, PCN and Group ID combination). This number can fluctuate, it can be used as a reference point.
For the NDCs that are not checked, AIR is not displayed.
If after checking coverage for an NDC, AIR is not displayed, it means we do not have that information available. You can still click on the Show National Average button, to see the average insurance remit across all insurance plans of all payers. Click here to learn more.
