How to Add a New Provider
EZSCRIPTRx allows the user to Add a New Provider easily. The only thing needed is the Provider’s NPI code. When adding a provider in the pharmacy platform, the user enters the NPI and the system will query https://npiregistry.cms.hhs.gov/ to validate and obtain first and last name.
Here it is the Step by Step:
Once logged into the system, click on “Add New Provider” button.
When “Add A New Provider” is clicked, the following pop up will be displayed. In this pop up, enter the Provider’s NPI code.
Click on “Save Provider”
If the Provider exists in the https://npiregistry.cms.hhs.gov/ database, the Provider will be added to the account and will be able to be selected in future sessions.
If the Provider does not exist in the NPI Registry, the following message will be displayed.
Sometimes the NPI Registry API is down and when trying to add a new Provider, that is not possible. In this case, EZSCRIPTRx allows the user to add the Provider manually by typing in the Provider’s first name, middle name (not required), and last name.
If the user want to change the Provider and Add a new one, click on “Provider” button and repeat steps 1 to 3.
