How to Add Patient Insurance

EZSCRIPTRx allows the user to easily find and add a Patient’s insurance to check coverage of any medication.

There are two ways to add a Patient’s insurance:

  • By API: Automatically adding insurance, with just one click.

  • Manually: If the API doesn’t find the insurance, the user can add the information manually.

Before adding a Patient’s insurance, EZSCRIPTRx will search to determine if the Patient that is being created already exists in the system. If the Patient is in the system and already has an insurance plan associated with them, the insurance will be added automatically. In such a case, there is no need to add insurance information manually or by using the API.

To add an insurance click on “New Patient” button when creating a New patient or also click on the “Patient Profile” button (the one with Patient’s name at the top-right of the screen) when Patient already exists.

Here it is the Step by Step:

  1. Select a provider or add a new one. Learn How to Add a Provider

  2. Click on the “Patient’s name” button (or the “New Patient” button in case creating one) a new modal will be displayed.
