This feature adds a new type of search. This simplifies the search by not having to select the Mfg. Package Size. With just the NDC and the quantity to be dispensed, the user can select a specific medication instead of having several medications listed.
How To Search By NDC
It is easy. You only need to enter the product NDC code that you want to search for.
After the user selects a Provider and a Patient, you will notice that a new filter will be displayed in the search section called: “by NDC code”
By selecting the “by NDC code” filter, you will be able to add one or more dispensed quantity.
Tip: In this case, the package size is not necessary to be defined, because the NDC code is tied to a specific product package size.
